Agra is the city that has something in store for everybody. Where on one hand you see the world wonder which is an Islamic structure, on the other hand there is the long list of Hindu temples in the city.   • Mankamshwar Temple

Mankamshwar Temple is situated at Rawatpara, near Agra Fort Railway Station. Mankameshwar Mandir (Temple) in Agra is devoted to Lord Shiva and counts amongst the prominent places to visit in Agra. It is said that the shivlinga covered by the silver metal was founded by lord shiva himself during Dwapara era, when Krishna was born in mathura. One can reach fully close to the main idol of lord Shiva provided one doesn't wear leather items and English style pants, pyjamas, and salwaar suits.

There is a special paan which you get near Mankameshwar temple. These are folded in such a manner so that their shape becomes that of a pyramid. They are then coated with "chandi ka verk" (Silver Foil) and garnished with coconut powder. Its a must try if are visiting the temple.

  • Bageshwarnath Temple
    Located near Ramrattan Road in North Agra just 2.5 km from the heart of the Agra city and fairly close to the Railway Station. This temple is one of the oldest temple dedicated to Lord Shiva and his beloved wife, Parvati. This is the temple that is the hotspot for any Hindu festival and celebration. Every evening old people and children alike come here for aarti and bhajans. The temple is crowded the most during the Mahashivratri celebration even though other festivals also are celebrated with the same zeal. This beautful temple attracts visitors from all over the country to its extravagant aarti.   • Mangleshwar Temple
    Known as one of the most celebrated religious sites in Agra, the Mangleshwar temple is among the attractions chartbusters. The temple is built exclusively in white marble while the carvings on the same showcase the true spirit of Hindu worship and devotion. Everyday, hundreds of travelers come from different parts of the country to take part in the many rituals that take place in this temple through which this temple makes a clear cut to your things to explore list.
