  • The Oberoi

Nestling cozily amidst a canopy of trees (that too in the heart of the city),
The Oberoi is for those who’d like to get pampered and spoilt. Drive in right from the airport (you could use the airport pick up facility), walk into your exquisite suite (hassle free check in is always a blessing). The exotic spa, babysitting service, special safety arrangements for your valuables, tip top hospitable staff and a personal butler if you pease.

While making your bookings please note that the hotel will be undergoing renovation till October 2012. Plan your holiday accordingly. The new marble bathrooms and chic interiors amongst other things will definitely be worth a try!

  • Le Meridien

Set in a convenient spot, about an hours drive from the airport and 30 mins to the
Orion Mall, it is a luxury five star hotel. It is easy to get taxis or rickshaws to explore the surroundings. If your travel has made you even a wee bit tired, use it as a reason to go for a refreshing massage or steam and sauna before you get a quick nap in your cozy bed. The rooms are nicely planned and laid out for a comfort stay. Seems like a lot of thought has gone into the interiors, especially the colours. Le Meridien also has to its credit a responsible set of staff who are always happy to assist you. And for the food bit, there are enough restaurants and food options but the morning breakfast buffet is something worth waking up to. Don’t forget to treat the sports enthusiast in you to a game and a drink at the Sports Bar.

There is also scope for a little shopping. You can pick up a few books and handicrafts at the shopping arcade and the Hide and Silk Souvenir Shop is also quite a delight.

The tariff is around 16,000 a night for two people.
