The beauty of Guwahati is so surreal and enigmatic that it will leave a mark on you for a long time.   • Temples

  • Deepor Beel Bird Sanctuary

    Beel means lake in Assamese. Deepor Beel is a gorgeous wetland under the Ramsar Convention which has listed the lake in November in the year 2002, as a Ramsar Site for undertaking different conservation measures on the basis of its biological and environmental importance. It is considered as one of the largest lakes in the Brahmaputra valley. It is categorised as representative of the wetland type under the Burma Monsoon Forest biogeographic region. The site for the Deepor Beel Bird Sanctuary is situated at the vicinity of the bustling city of Guwahati. Being very close to a major city, the bird reserve becomes easily accessible by rail, road and air, thereby tourists arrive here in a large number. The sanctuary is a small picturesque and sylvan land that covers a stretch of 4.14 sq. km. You can witness a plethora of species of avifauna here in the wetland. Some other birds commonly seen in this beel are Brahminy Kite , Mallard,  Lesser Whistling Teal, Open Bill Stork, Bronze Winged Jacana, Lesser Adjutant Stork , Eurasian Marsh Harrier, Gadwall, Pond Heron, and many more.

  • Cultural centres

    Cultural centers like Srimanta Sankardev Kalakshetra, Assam State Museum and Ravindra Bhawan are a must visit once in Guwahati. The vivid display of the majestic cultural extravaganza of Assam can be witnessed in these places. These are just the places where you can have a glimpse of the cultural heritage of the state.   • Brahmaputra Riverside
