1. Shimla was declared the summer capital of Indiain 1864 by the British and before that, it was a part of Nepal. With Summers being over dramatic on us, choose from the best hotels in Shimla and take off today.

2. After Independence, it was the capital of Punjab until Chandigarh came into existence.

3. Shimla is home to the legendary mountain biking race MTB Himalaya which is regarded as the biggest event in South-East Asia.

thanks for sharing... out of 13 i knew about 11.. :) and one sad thing i woud like to add is that Hopsons and ta tung dosent make shoes now... they just sell shoes and sandals which are worth a wear.. :)

the bridge in the photo above which says to b connecting chotta and new shimla is not true, it's the famous combermere bridge and the photgarph of trishool bakery is not true it's of somewhere else....
