The caves have always had a sinister, dangerous feel to it. The huge menacing boulders, pitch dark and treacherous pits, eerie silences and a sudden whoosh of bats flying past you - it's more than enough to give anyone the creeps! Moreover, there have been reported instances that many people have gone inside the deepest part of the caves, never to be seen again. Over time, these stories have been magnified and glamorised, which have led to the caves getting associated with the dark world. Hence the name. So when you take a trip to Kodaikanal, don't forget to visit this interesting cave.
