The Gold Beach Hotel is a modern whitewashed, beachfront resort, located in the west coast village of Flic en Flac, 10 kilometres from Port Louis. The hotel's 31 air- conditioned guestrooms have simple decor with wood floors and traditional wood furnishings. Day-trips can be organized to Port Louis, 10 kilometres from the hotel, which has beaches of its own, as well as other places of interest such as the Natural History Museum. Souillac, 15 kilometres from the hotel, is a place of natural beauty, and the Seven Coloured Earth at Chamarel, 20 kilometres away, is a well known geological curiosity that is worth a visit. Mauritius Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam International Airport is 43 kilometres (27 miles) from the hotel, a 60 minute drive.
