Balco HARMONY is a six-storey house, offering a competitively-priced alternative to hotel accommodation or self-catering apartments. Besides the ten rooms, some of which have distant sea views, we also have a kitchen and dining room. The same room, where satellite TV is available, also serves as TV Room throughout the day and evening.

Guests may also make use of our well-equipped kitchen should they wish to cook their own meals. In the entrance hall, there are the reception counter and lavatory, as well as a notice board for affixing school notices and useful telephone numbers that a student might need while on a studying holiday in Malta.

Although there isn't a 24-hour reception available, our host – who is very well experienced in hosting foreign guests – visits the Hostel everyday and assist all guests with there necessities. All guests have a main door key and we do not have a curfew.

PLEASE ADVICE YOUR ESTIMATED ARRIVAL TIME ONCE YOU RECEIVE A BOOKING CONFIRMATION. THIS WILL MAKE SURE THAT THE RECEPTION WILL BE OPEN FOR WHEN YOU ARRIVE. TRANSPORT PICK-UP CAN BE ORGANIZED FROM THE AIRPORT OR FERRY BOAT FROM SICILY.

WE OFFER VERY GOOD PACKAGES FOR LONG STAY STUDENTS STUDYING IN MALTA OR MAKING AN INTERNSHIP.


THE ROOMS

The house caters for 28 guests in twin, treble rooms and quads. Each room has approximately 20 sq metres of bedroom area, where the bedroom includes laminated furniture of a high standard, ceiling fans, carefully located lights, dressing table with mirror, wardrobes, and ceramic floors.

All guest rooms have an ensuite shower, toilet and washbasin. All rooms have a 90-liter refrigerator, hairdryer and in-room satellite television and radio standard facilities. Air-Condition and safety deposit boxes are available at an extra charge. (Please advise on reservation if you require an air-conditioned room). Available at a small charge, we offer laundry service including dryer and WI-FI hot spot. WI-FI is charged at 2 Euros per 1GB of upload or download combined.


All rooms come with an inter-connecting room – the study area – or a larger study area within the actual bedroom. In this room, one can find a desk with a nest of drawers, telephone line that can be operated on a 'pay-as-you-talk basis'. Linen and towels are changed once and twice weekly respectively.
