This cozy and clean hostel is situated on the island Suomenlinna, 15minferry trip from the main market square of Helsinki. The ferry runs in winter time punctually 1-2 times per hour, in summer time more often. This zen neighborhood of 850 inhabitants is also a part of the Unesco World Heritage as an 18th century sea fortress. The hostel operates in an old school building from the beginning of the 20th century. It's located near the coast line and the ferry stop in a beautiful neighborhood with wooden houses. A different and relaxing atmosphere not far away from the busy city centre of Helsinki! PLEASE NOTE: The hostel reception is open Mon-Fri 9am-4.45pm, Sat 9.30am-3.30pm, Sun 9.30am-1pm. You must inform the hostel the time of your arrival if it's not during the reception opening times. If you don't, we are not responsible for keeping your room. There is a market store, a visitor center, several restaurants, cafés and museums, a post office, art galleries, an artist workshop with a store, a beach, a summer theatre, a library, a church (with a lighthouse) on the island. Please note that there is neither cash machine nor pharmacy on the island. You will be able to pay with a credit card in most of the places on the island.
