Kiboko Bay Resort was founded by Nirmal and Beelay Darbar and officially opened to the public in December 2004,while gradually increasing the facility to suit the growing needs of the clientele. It was formerly a recreational spot called Dunga Refreshments, Sunset beach, before it was taken up and redesigned by the new management. Achievements The founders have succeeded in creating a beautiful spot by the lake for both local and foreign tourists who now have access to accommodation facilities, conference facilities and group functions. The resort so far has hosted the German, Swedish, Pakistani Ambassadors to Kenya and the Crown Dutch prince, just to name a few. The Minister for Tourism was also hosted during the National Tourism Day held in Kisumu, between 25-27th September, 2006. The resort has a team of 30 well trained staff to handle the needs of the customers.
