Welcome to Antoinette's Cottage!

A charming small inn situated in the heart of beautiful downtown Gruene. The oldest house in Gruene has four rooms of distinction, beautiful gardens and a lovely porch, claw foot tubs, and ceiling fans. The earliest part of the house pre-dates the Civil War (1840-50), with additions in 1872, and 1880.

Antoinette's cottage is located on top of the beautiful guadalupe white water river. And walking distance to Gruene's mercantile store, antique store, shopping mall, bars & restaurants and Gruene Hall, where a lot of the great country musicians first sung their first songs like Willie Nelson, Jerry Jeff Walker, The Fabulous Thunderbirds, George Strait and Ace in the Hole, Lyle Lovett, Dixie Chicks, Robert Earl Keen and many more.

Many period antiques and professional decorations, with modern amenities, will make this a memorable stay. Each room, containing a queen bed, is named after a Gruene family member, and decorated appropriate to their personalities.

Twelve foot ceilings, 9' windows, wood floors and trim enhance the feeling of a step back in time. The owner is also the town historian, and will be happy to give you a brief history, or point out architectural oddities relative to the house and period during your stay.

We try to serve breakfast Al Fresco if at all possible, on the lawn or porch. A continental breakfast with a fresh baked bread, fruit, coffee, and juice awaits, served on fine china. My guests always say that they are quite satisfied. Special accommodations for your dietary needs can be arranged.

We will be happy to help you celebrate special events, and make your stay a pleasant one. The entire house is available for large parties or extended stays, and can accommodate up to twelve people.
