Dear friends… Welcome to the International Student Center...a comfortable and easy to find youth hostel in Manhattan serving young people and students [between the ages of 18 and 35] traveling through New York City. Conveniently located on the Upper West Side in Manhattan, the International Student Center is housed in a historical building in a beautiful and safe residential neighborhood, a hop-step-and-jump from Central Park. We are also easy to find, half-a-block away from the local"C" and"B" subway trains; and two blocks away from the"1" and"9" subway trains, besides easily accessible by bus and taxi too. Check-in time is 10am-7pm. Late check-in available, please contact us. The Hostel Facilities The youth hostel offers 50 beds in dormitory style accommodations, both single sex and co-ed rooms. Housed in a historical brown stone building, it is a simple, clean and comfortable place. Your new home, away from home! Guest Amenities Include . . . Sacred Garden A simple but charming garden blossoms in our backyard all year round, with special attention during Spring, Summer and Autumn. During the summer months, we even offer free herbs for guests to harvest and spice up their dishes. Fully equipped kitchen and large common lounge with TV, sofas, library book trade, for you to rest and meet other travelers after the long days spent in the city. House phones on each dormitory floor allows guests to receive calls from 9am to 11pm, and public phones in the lounge. Messages are posted on the notice board, if guests receive calls when they are out. No curfew However, guests need to obtain a key ($10 deposit) for the front door to enter the building at night. The front desk office is open daily, 7 days a week, 365 days a year, from 8am to 11pm. Daily Rates Summer: June 1 to September 30 = $25.00 Autumn: Oct 1 to Dec 15 = $ 25.00 Christmas: Dec 16 to Jan 3 = $ 30.00 Duration of Stay The International Student Center provides only short-term stay for traveling students and young people passing through New York City. Summer & Autumn: June to October one week maximum stay. Winter & Spring: November to May two week maximum stay*. *In some cases, guests may be allowed to stay an extra week (a maximum total of 21 days), based on the approval of the management. PLEASE NOTE: It is very important that you indicate your arrival time upon booking or email the hostel with your arrival details after booking. Especially if you are arriving after 7pm, make sure to get in contact with us via email. Not doing so could result in a cancellation.
