The Scandic Luosto is a log-cabin complex situated in the Luosto ski resort, 50 metres from the slopes and five kilometres from Lampivaara amethyst mine. This single-floor hotel features 59 guestrooms, 54 of which are traditional Scandinavian-style log cabins with open fires, saunas and kitchenettes. The remaining five are standard rooms. Amenities include satellite television with pay movies, tea and coffee-making facilities and irons.

Scandic Luosto is located in the middle of the Luosto ski centre with its three ski lifts and seven slopes suitable for both families and more experienced skiers. The ski slopes and 95 kilometres of cross- country skiing tracks are situated 50-300 metres from the hotel. Fans of snowboarding have their own 'Snowboarding Street'. Guests can also enjoy the reindeer, husky-dog safaris, fishing and hiking in the nearby countryside. Lapphut Village is one kilometre away and Sodankyl� heritage museum and church, which dates back to 1689, is 40 kilometres from the hotel. Rovaniemi Airport is 110 kilometres away, with an approximate driving time of 110 minutes.
