34 Trains Cancelled Due to Fog, Maintenance Work

The Indian Railways has announced the cancellation of as many as 34 trains due to various reasons, such as fog, developmental works and as a precautionary measure against the Cyclone Jawad.

The cancellations have been announced on different dates by four rail zones, namely Northern Railway, Southern Railway, East Coast Railway and the South Eastern Railway.

Here are the details:

1. The Northern Railway has cancelled 20 trains on various dates between the months of December and February. The rail zone has also reduced the frequency of two trains and partially cancelled four more for this time period.

The changes have been made as a precautionary measure against foggy weather, which is largely experienced during the winter months of December, January and February:

2. The Southern Railway will be fully cancelling:

> Train no. 18189 Tatanagar – Ernakulam Mail/Express departing from Tatanagar at 05:15 am, for 9th and 12th December.

> Train no. 18190 Ernakulam – Tatanagar Mail/Express departing from Ernakulam Junction at 07:15 am, for 8th and 12th December.

The above changes have been made by the rail zone due to developmental work being undertaken by the East Coast Railway in its Sambalpur division.

 

3. The East Coast Railway zone has decided to cancel four trains in order to undertake rake adjustment:

> Train no. 13352 Alleppey – Dhanbad Express has been fully cancelled for today, 6th December, and tomorrow, 7th December.

> Train no. 12507 Trivandrum – Silchar Express has been fully cancelled for tomorrow, 7th December.

> Train no. 12376 Jasidih – Tambaram Express has been fully cancelled for 8th December.

> Train no. 12254 Bhagalpur – Yesvantpur Express has been cancelled for 8th December.

4. The South Eastern Railway has cancelled two trains, owing to Cyclone Jawad:

> Train no. 12514 Guwahati – Secunderabad Superfast Express has been fully cancelled for 9th December.

> Train no. 12552 Kamakhya – Yesvantpur Superfast Express has been fully cancelled for 8th December.

Six more services have been cancelled by the rail zone due to developmental works in its Bilaspur Division:

> Train no. 22511 Lokmanya Tilak Terminus – Kamakhya Express has been fully cancelled for 7th December.

> Train no. 12809 Mumbai CSMT – Howrah Express has been fully cancelled for 7th December.

> Train no. 12151 Lokmanya Tilak Terminus – Howrah Express has been fully cancelled for 8th December.

> Train no. 12152 Howrah – Lokmanya Tilak Terminus Express has been fully cancelled for 10th December.

 

> Train no. 22843 Bilaspur – Patna Express has been fully cancelled for 10th December.

> Train no. 22844 Patna – Bilaspur Express has been fully cancelled for 12th December.
