Mixed feelings

by Mustafa B on 29 Nov 2016 (Friends Traveller)

There is a huge potential in this building but needs lots of renovation. The good things are: Gtreat breakfast, coffe shop is not bad. Rooms are spacious but need new furniture. In the ground floor there a sky sales shop of Saudi Airlines. A beautiful seating near swimming pool. The location is great. Fast internet. Room service food was good. Bad things are: strange odor in some floors. Very old decoration and furniture. Some staff need training, they are polite but they get lost sometimes.

Bring a mask with you!

by Mamdooh Z on 24 Nov 2016 (Business Traveller)

Just where should I start?! If you're unfortunate enough to stay in this hotel, make sure you bring a mask with you! This's by far the worst hotel on the planet Earth! Not only it's old and gives you depression the minute you check in, but also it has the worst odor ever, and that odor believe it or not, is on the renovated floors!!! I can only imagine the situation on the not renovated floors! This hotel should be stripped from stars!

It is undergoing a refurbishment and desperately needs it. My room was large and well equipped but water stains and a toilet that was hard to flush made it a little less luxurious. The internet connection was fantastic which made work a lot faster. The breakfast was really good a lot if quality choice. I...

promises more than what actually delivers but not too bad. Needs some further i provements....

by marco f on 18 Nov 2016 (Business Traveller)

large structure, a bit outdated although pretty modern, Al Hamra to me promises morebthan what it delivers. Nice coffee shop at the entrance, outside pool, a couple of restaurants, meeting rooms, gym...you get what you need. Location is good (corner of Madinah road and Palestine street), not too far from Corniche. Staff are ok and friendly but, especially talking about rooms, hotel misses something. They should be revamped, modernized and targeted for the needs of business traveller. Plugs, more...
