One night at the Assaha

by mike b on 03 Jan 2017 (Solo Traveller)

I stayed for one night in the Assaha at end December 2016. My flight arrived in Beirut near midnight so I did not want to hire a car and negotiate dark unknown streets on arrival. Being 5 mins from the airport gave me a short return journey to the airport on the following morning to pick up a rental car before heading out of Beirut to North Lebanon. The hotel is superb with terrific food. My breakfast was as good as a breakfast gets! I can highly recommend a stay at the Assaha, with the added bo...

Beautiful and Authentic

by Peter O on 07 Nov 2016 (Family Traveller)

Stayed here for 2 nights with family in the Royal Suite which accommodates 5. It was good value and the staff were friendly and helpful. The decor is nothing short of breathtaking and each room mirrors a different culture and theme. We dined in the hotel and the food was good value and delicious. Prior to arrival I was unaware of the no alcohol policy. which is not a big deal as l if you know in advance. This was a little unclear on the website. Also, for the western traveller be aware that ...

SHOCKING attitude from staff !

by Kenneth C on 04 Jun 2016 (Solo Traveller)

Only service worthy of mention was in the restaurant ; the reception were appalling. The hotel in itself was nice BUT your attitude to westeners is not in the real world. Frankly, Lebanon has not moved on !

Interesting and peaceful Hotel in busy Beirut

by Elle T on 02 May 2016 (Business Traveller)

I stayed 1 night at Assaha Castle ,in a beautiful belgian style room, very spacious ,clean and warm. It was very pleasant to wake up with the sound of birds. The wifi is not great but that is a general issue in Beirut. The Castle is a beautiful building, enhanced by a flowery garden and tasteful decoration. I loved the antique shop of the hotel, which sells very interesting hand made pieces. The staff of the hotel is helpful and some are friendly. I can t say much about the surroundings becaus...

Excellence for a bargain

by AustinLou on 25 Jul 2015 (Solo Traveller)

Stayed at the Assaha Convention Hotel, NOT the castle-like Assaha (owned by same company). It was a very nice hotel-- cold air-conditioning, luxurious bedding (luxurious to me!), clean and new. Hot water in the shower, fluffy towels, and free internet connection. Quiet! I had a bit of the free breakfast, and tried the makanek (sausages) which were awesome. They had a very nice assortment of breakfast items (some that I did not recognize!) Staff were friendly. The price was unbeatable as well. ...
