Bearcountry Homestay , coonoor

First of all these people are too much unprofessional. 2 times I have booked this homestay. Both the times they have modified my booking saying owners guest arrived at the last moment. What kind of behaviour is this?? If your owner dnt consider prior booking what is the point of the entire home stay concept. Pls don't go by the photos - while rooms are big n clean, this place is located in a shady area of Coonoor, approach road is v bad. The pictures show only one view. Besides, this is not a professional run set up- when we stayed, caretakers were not around multiple times, maybe not enough staff. We a group of 20 members visited this place. Excellent place for a group get together. Big rooms with 6 beds and small rooms with 2 beds available for friends and family stay. Nice location and views. Food has to be ordered early and it is good. Best home stay in coonoor.

Quiet location. Not many people in coonoor are aware of Stanley park, some know sunvalley homestay- it is close to Wellingdon and quiet some distance away from main coonoor. there is a road via old Aravangadu. Google maps is fairly accurate- try rerouting via wellingdon. there is no sign board on the property, has adequate parking space. Call Ms. Jennifer before you get there and she would be there to guide you. Food is EXPENSIVE, but good and has to be ordered at least 2 hours in advance. Fair...

The bear country is situated just off the beaten track of coonoor, which if you like a peaceful sleep is perfect. When we arrived Jennifer showed us ours room which was spacious clean and tidy and the bathroom was the cleanest I have seen so far. Hot water is constant as well which was a welcome relief.
