Sometimes it's hard to get a room in Duesseldorf so I ended up in the Berliner Hof. I'm not sure if every room is like mine was but mine was not good. It was under the roof, small and old. At least it was clean. The breakfast room on the ground floor is also not nice and kept very dark for some reason I do not understand. The breakfast itself was okay. A supermarket is straight across the street. Parking is hard to find but you may want to use the hotels garage for an exta fee.

My partner and I arrived at the Berliner Hof on Thursday 5th November for 4 nights. We arrived at the hotel earlier than check in time due to having an early flight and this luckily was not a problem. I had booked the standard twin/double room with private bathroom in the hallway. I requested a double bed a few weeks before travelling there, however this was not honoured. We were given out key to room 5 and as we went up the stairs the cleaner man was still in there tidying up. When we got in,...

The hotel is cheap, however I would rather pay a little extra for a more modern hotel. To begin the hotel is not in the greatest location, there are no good views, hobos walk past the hotel, quite a walk to the train station to get into town. The rooms are extremely old fashioned and the chair in our room was being held together by duct tape! The Wi-Fi was not free (which is rare nowadays) but overall I would not recommend this or return!

The hotel is reasonable to stay for a night at first sight. Though because of a few things, I wouldn't go back: Bad things -Street lights during night never make the room dark, there are no good curtains. At least in the room we had. -very noisy, you hear everything from the neighbors such as toilet visits, talking etc. -Outdated room, old tv, little electricity sockets. Good things -You could park the car in the garage which was good. -Hygiene was OK for our room. -Bed was fine too.

Possibly the poorest hotel I have had ro stay in.

Paid over €200 euros for a double room no private bathroom. I know it was during Euro Shop but this was a complete rip off. Breakfast was extra if you could call it a brekfast. Smell of stale smoke in room. I have not one good thing to say about this excuse for a hotel. Must have no minimum standards as if their was this hotel would not pass.
