Does what it says on the tin
by Sarah M on 28 May 2013
The hotel is located approximately a one minute walk from the main train station, which is brilliant and it is also near some decent restaurants too. The rooms are small and the corridors are narrow but there is more than enough room. The beds are extremely comfy. There was a smell of smoke which I wasn't keen on at all! All in all though, it's perfect for student travellers who need a bed and not much else! No problems sleeping here, in fact I found it to be quiet! Excellent value stay!
Cheap, clean room with 4 twin beds, only 1 minute walk from Hamburg Hbf.

I stayed here for a Friday night with my family of 4. The room was fairly cheap for a last minute booking this close to the train station at €105. The hotel offered breakfast but we were leaving early so we passed. First impression was a little sketchy since it is basically a tourist hotel, in a row of tourist hotels. pleasant budget hotel

Ok for less than 30 euros a night, i was in for a pleasant surprise as I was expecting a much lower standard. the proximity to the railway station is unbeatable, rooms are clean with wash basins, housekeeping and towels/soaps, staff is friendly, free wifi internet The problem is with paper thin walls and i was woken up by people walking in the corridors and the cleaners hovering at 830 am on a saturday!
A good budget hotel right in the centre of Hamburg.

A good budget hotel right in the centre of Hamburg. The area is not the best but no one bothered me and I felt quite safe coming and going to the hotel. At the end of the road, about 100 metres is the Hauptbahnhof with trains, s-bahn & u-bahn. I walked into the core of Hamburg to the Rathaus and Alster Lake in about 30 mins or so. To cap it all there is a Lidl Supermarket 400 yards from the hotel. If I return to Hamburg it will be to the Bremer Hof
If you don't find anything better...

The hotel is very close to the train station, where you can also take most of the U and S underground lines. It is placed in a street filled with hotels, call-centers, strip-teases, and prostitutes, where the houses are very old. So, the hotel was in a very old house, with very narrow stairs, no lift, and small rooms. The room was overall clean (specially the bathroom, which in our case was not shared), but it gave an impression of being dusty (or so my girlfriend's asthma detected). We did not...
