Felt like we were ripped off on the price

by ManyJB on 04 Jan 2017 (Couple Traveller)

We stayed here for a couple of nights having booked via a travel website. When we arrived they realised we had booked for January instead of December by mistake. However they did have one room free they said. They then told us that the price had gone up the day before and now the cost was 600 dams per night ( approx. £60 plus taxes and breakfast at 5 euros a night). We were too tired to argue. The room was windowless on the ground floor next to where the staff slept. The shower filled up with wa...

Value for money

by Tiren K on 02 Jan 2017 (Couple Traveller)

We stayed in this lovely riad from 28th December till January 2017. It appears to be a small family run business- and nothing is too much trouble. From the breakfast really prepared at your sitting to the overall cleanliness of the property- this is a riad with value for your money. Location wise it is rather centrally located for access to other areas- Medina, New city (Hibernate, Gueliz) and Kasbah- if you don't mind the walk it's around max 20mins The medina is 10 min walk away- however at ...

Simple Riad

by flandriaruns on 23 Nov 2016 (Couple Traveller)

The Riad was not difficult to find but it is in a small alley. We were bombarded with a few men entering the alley for places to stay. The riad is simple and I am not sure if it's the same way for all Riads in Marrakech but the place was very dark. We were shown to our room which had a small window with curtains and the lights were so dim it was hard to see. The standard room is very small but it had air conditioning which was great because it was a warm day. The room was clean and we didn'...

Lovely, clean, great value.

by Moirazcat S on 14 Sep 2016 (Family Traveller)

Out of all the places in marrakech that I have been to this was my favourite. Lovely lovely riad just out of the hustle and bustle, yet so easy to access if required. The rooms are so clean and very spacious too. I particularly liked the local shopping street close by, no hassle in the street whatsoever, as opposed to the more tourist areas in marrakech. This place is a gem and havan, I will be back for sure.

More than what you pay for.

This is not La Maison Arabe, but you know that when you book it. You're hoping for somewhere clean, safe, with friendly staff. And in al honesty, you get that and more. Nabil and Brain are like family, the breakfast is solid, if simple, and the design has a charm and cool that you'd hope for. It's incresitbllt value, located right between Guleiz and Medina. I'd stay there again!
