Untrustworthy riad

by MaxDH on 05 Dec 2016 (Couple Traveller)

We booked in june for five nights. The booking was confirmed. When we arrived in the evening at the riad, the hotel manager told us on a employee's phone that he had cancelled the reservation. There was no room for us and there was no other option than to leave the riad. It was very difficult and expensive to find an place to sleep because of a big worldwide cilimate summit that was going on in Marrakech. It was a terrible start of our city trip. The manager probably had sold our room for an ...

Terrible stay

by Bfeliz1 on 22 Nov 2016 (Friends Traveller)

Nothing about this place was recommendable. The wifi was out, one morning we had no water in the bathroom, the toilet was running when we arrived and had to be fixed. One couple in our group had no electricity in the bathroom. The first morning the person who was supposed to cook breakfast for 6:30 did not arrive until 8. The next morning our tour guide had to run out for eggs because they had none! The place was dark, dingy and quite depressing. Worst place we stayed on our Moroccan trip. Every...

Fantastic stay for a visit in Marrakech

by josef s on 24 Aug 2016 (Family Traveller)

With Roman atrium.. This is the Perfect House to stay in Marrakesh as you get an Impression how people were living long time ago. Impressive...as do different from the western style of housing...the house is huge with lots of open rooms in the ground floor.

A little bit rough around the edges, but a brilliant stay overall

by laurenmoyes on 25 May 2016 (Friends Traveller)

We booked this riad for a group of 10 women on a hen weekend in Marrakech, and were very happy with our stay. Yousef was particularly friendly and polite, and was on hand to help us with whatever we needed, whether it be serving us food & drinks, or helping us to get around the city. The hotel itself is beautiful, and feels very traditionally Moroccan, although we did have to deal with a power cut and the loss of running water on a couple of occasions! The wifi also does not work properly, how...

worst riad in Marrakesh

by Hooks80 on 28 Mar 2016 (Business Traveller)

We fly to Marrakesh every 3 months or so for business and like to change riads to see different places. We have booked at the Dar Silsila because of its location and the pictures looked great. We arrived late and went out to have diner, when we returned, all the lights were turned off and we had to use the flashlight on our phone to find our way back. The room looked like a cave because it was so dark, the floor has probably not been cleaned since the riad opened, it was gross. No bottle of wat...
