Good overall. Nice hotel, location has pros and cons

by John S on 04 Jan 2017 (Solo Traveller)

Stayed 5 nights in one of the back rooms facing the pool, as I had read other reviews that the front facing rooms suffer from nightly noise from the club at the marina, but to be honest I didn't hear any activity from Pacha at any time, not even sure it was open during the time I was there, so you are better off checking first as the front rooms face onto the sea while the back rooms can hear noise from people using the pool, family's up early swimming (especially if you like to sleep in), also ...

Poorly designed

by squirrelislander on 28 Dec 2016 (Couple Traveller)

Should be and could be a great hotel but isnt. Interesting loction at entry to the marina but with odd entryway. Very poorly designed rooms that seriously need an upgrade. Lots of corners and sharp edges makes you feel uncomfortable. Management and service are ok but not outstanding. Lots of art all over the hotel, which would be interesting but there is too much of it and of widely varying quality.

What a treat for a place to stay. How often do you get a room in an ongoing art gallery. The hotel is filled with great works of art and sculpture. Most of the rooms are painted in a theme by a famous artist. The hotel has a good breakfast, parking, a very friendly stall, resident artists, is next to the port and all the restaurants, on the water for views, nice balconies, comfortable beds and great bathrooms. It also has a good garden area and pool.

2 nights

We split our stay in Sitges over 2 hotels the Estela being the second one. We were in room 103, one of the artist rooms which was lovely, once you get over the blue colour, which made it a little dark, and there were a couple of bulbs out. but all in all it was lovely, the bathroom was huge, ( wheelchair accessible) the balcony was on the same level as the pool area, so it could have got a bit busy with little privacy, however there was nobody around for the few days we were there. The pool ba...

Miserable Staff

by turkishliz on 18 Sep 2016 (Friends Traveller)

Looking forward to this holiday as I have always loved the Spanish people, but I have to say that the staff in this hotel (except from a couple of them ) need to have a lesson in being pleasant to people, After having many holidays in Turkey ( where they go above and beyond being helpful and pleasant) I found my stay here very disappointing. And I do not like saying this. I also agree with a previous comment re the piano music which goes on relentlessly how the staff haven't killed themselves ...
