Wonderful time in the center
by Kitty S on 15 Mar 2016 (Couple Traveller)
The place is in the center, but not the "turist crowded" area. It was easy to walk to the main amusements and specteculars, for example The Heineken experienc, Museum Plein ect..The neiborhood is quiet awesome: lots of bars, cofeeshops, and restaurants are there, and groceries and the amazing Albert Cuypmarkt. Our host was super friendly, helped us with our luggage, and before we'd arrived, he answered all of our questions. The room is in the attic, so its true that the stairs are scary, but it...

My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights at the end of June, what a lovely little place!! We communicated with Wienek a number of times before our visit as if you read properly before booking everything you need to know is mentioned so why people complain about having to pay 200 euro deposit, cash only accepted and about the stairs is beyond me as it is all there in writing along with the fact to drop him an email with estimated arrival times so he can be there to check you in. He is a very he...
Frans Hans Loft
by Sandip V on 30 Jun 2015 (Friends Traveller)
Good standard for being a budget hotell. Though mostly it was bduget because of we traveled at low tourist season (jan 15-20th), and the prices vere low because of that. The service was really good. The hotell was a small loft for two persons and the room including kitchen and bathroom was really neatly decorated and cozy. The only downside as I see it is that there was a really steep windy staircase up to the room so it would be difficult for disabled person to live there. Also the heat was ...
Very nice room in the attic
by Hannah N on 19 Apr 2015
We spent a few nights here in spring. Arriving late to get the keys was no problem, and we got a nice presentation of how the facilities worked. The stairs are very steep but even though I have a bad head for heights I managed very well. In the small kitchenette you have most things you need for a nice breakfast - eggboiler, waterboiler, coffeeboiler and electronic juice press as well as a microwave. The only real drawback was the smell of weed in the staircase, but after all, it is Amsterdam an...
Excellent location and authentic dutch experience
by Elaine P on 20 Sep 2014 (Couple Traveller)
I've stayed in Amsterdam many times but probably enjoyed staying at the Frans Hals Loft best of all. We loved the location - super cool vibe, not too noisy with tourists, easy access to transport but easy to walk everywhere if you enjoy walking as we do. As for the apartment itself, it was light and airy, clean and offered independence. It was equipped with everything you need for a short stay including basic food provisions. The bed was very comfortable and we loved the view being so high u...
