Just right!

by Becca L on 26 Jan 2017 (Family Traveller)

Took my mum here for a Birthday surprise for afternoon tea in the restaurant. I contacted the hotel before hand and received a call to confirm. The lovely lady Codi who took my reservation kindly sent through both requests of a window seat and a 'Happy Birthday' message for her. We had a lovely few of the lake. They brought over a lovely 3 tier afternoon tea. Filled with sandwiches, numerous cakes and 2 scones each. Some of the sandwiches were a little bland but still nice. I would recommend t...

I should have read the reviews before booking

by Daniel K on 23 Jan 2017 (Business Traveller)

Rooms are large and well equipped, personnel is friendly, but ... the noise of departing airplanes is simply unbearable! It is non-stop also at night time. At least the windows in the rooms could be double glassed isolated. In today's world nothing special. But most airport hotels face this problem, so it is my mistake to stay close to airports especially when you have a car at your disposal. I took a dinner in their restaurant and rate is reasonable.

Disappointing experience

My husband and I visited this restaurant on a Saturday evening in January, having got a deal through Travelzoo to dine here. When we walked in to the restaurant, we were not greeted at the door, but had to walk over to the host at his desk. We were seated and shown menus, we had expected to have a set menu, less choice etc because we were on a 'deal'. However, this was not the case. The food was amazing, very tasty, and good quality. However, the place lacked ambience, the staff were not at...

Better off in the Departure lounge

by SS0112 on 23 Jan 2017 (Couple Traveller)

Truly, the worst hotel ever. The noise between 10pm and 5am was unbelievable! I wore ear plugs the entire time and the plane noise was nothing when compared to the noise of staff and other guests. This included, but was not limited to: shouting, banging doors, shoes on wooden staircase and floors and at one point- a drilling sound! I literally did not get any sleep at all. If this hotel still sounds viable to you, then please do also consider that the room was so small, you had to shuffle aroun...

Hotel ok if you want to be close to the airport!

by Arnoldkeith on 21 Jan 2017 (Business Traveller)

The hotel looked promising from the outside once I had managed to find it down a dark lane with not great signs. The staff through out my one night stay were friendly and helpful. Our evening meal was good and breakfast was fine. The lunch selection for our meeting was a bit limited but was ok. My room was basic and looked a bit tatty in places with a damp smell that I think came from the bathroom. There appeared to be a thick layer of ingrained dust around the edges of the wooden floor especi...
