Maybe "average" is an even too high score. Read my comments below and draw your own conclusions.... We stayed just one night in room 12 (road side). Location in centre is OK. Dom and other points of interest are at walking distance. Room, bathroom, beds and breakfast are OK. However there are some "buts" - no parking (at 10 - 15 euro to the price if you need to park your car) - The road appears to be busy and noisy. Busses! - We could clearly hear the voices; talking, screaming, singing, of th...

We recently stayed there as a family (with a small baby) and were happily surprised to have a big room with a nice baby bed. But the room was on the road side and absolutely not soundproofed from the noise outside. Moreover, we discover as we put our baby to bed that there was only a small curtain for a very large window and it was impossible to make the room a little darker... Do not stay at this hotel! While eating breakfast in the hotel, our locked hotel room was robbed (over $1000 and our iphones) in a span of 45 minutes. The police officer who took our report suspected that it was the staff, but the staff refused to admit to any fault. The hotel management would not provide any compensation but said they would not charge us for the stay--but then they charged my credit card anyway! In addition, the supposedly non-smoking room reeked of smoke, the walls were paper ...

We found this to be a pleasant enough hotel, about 20 minutes walk from the train station. Both the room and the bathroom were spacious and clean. We had a quiet night. We don't know how the breakfast is. During our stay (one night) the lift was not working. There is a full flight of stairs from the street entrance to the reception desk, with apparently no lift available at all. There is wifi free in the lobby. The staff at the desk are friendly and willing to help with luggage.

What a horrible experience. The cleanliness of this place was incredibly poor. The towels had a rank moldy smell. The pillows and bedding were no better. No top sheet meant you slept directly under the comforters (but this appears to be common in Germany). The rooms have not been remodeled since the 60/70s, and the furniture is also giving off a rotting wood smell. A cheap plastic wall lamp was simply broken and hanging on by the electrical cord. The 6 inch TV with fuzzy channels is barely worth...
