Good hotel

by Lorina H on 02 Jun 2016 (Couple Traveller)

Very good hotel in a very nice location. 3 stations from gion area, accessible by busses. Staff was friendly and nice, room was clean. A little bit small, but that's how rooms are in general in Japan.

An affordable business hotel good for a single person in the Center of Kyoto!!

by mabei0123 on 22 May 2016 (Solo Traveller)

This is an affordable business hotel good for a single person in the great location of Central Kyoto. The staff were helpful and courteous. The room is very small with little space for a piece of luggage. It's close to the subway station and bus stops and right across the street with a good cafeteria.

Good condition & location

by Dtraveler6 on 27 Dec 2015 (Couple Traveller)

This Unizo had just opened when I stayed, and it was in good condition. The staff were quite helpful and courteous. As is normal in many Japanese lodgings, the room was very, very small, leaving little space for a piece of luggage. Price was fair. Location was excellent - on a road conveniently close to bus stops and the subway station, and right across the street from an outstanding local cafeteria. Overall, the location made it a very pleasant stay in Kyoto.

verry comfortable room and perfect staff

by Henk B on 16 Oct 2015 (Couple Traveller)

The rooms are verry comfortable and, for Japanese standards, large. The beds are nice and the rooms and hotels are clean. The staff is verry friendly and helpfull. This was the best out of our six hotel in Japan. And also the one with the lowest price. We have had a perfect stay during the four days in Kyoto. The Hotel is just steps away from the subway and in five minutes time you are in the best shoppingstreets of Kyoto.

What emergency?

by Pam D on 12 Oct 2015 (Friends Traveller)

On our last morning, the lifts stopped working and emergency sirens started. The emergency exits were locked. All the announcements were in Japanese. I had no way of understanding what was going on, or leaving the building. It turned out to be a false alarm, but I had no way of knowing that. A dangerous situation. The room and bathroom were compact, but well-equipped. The bus to Kyoto station is just outside, and there are other buses close by.
