Promised much but disappointed in some ways

by Yorkie137 on 13 Oct 2016 (Couple Traveller)

We stayed at Villa Malaspina for a week recently. As the direct flights from our local airport to Verona had stopped we had to fly to Venice and hire a car so I wanted somewhere with free parking near to the town and chose to stay here. We had a very warm welcome from Maurice when we arrived and he was very helpful on our first night but we never saw him again after that to thank him. I had booked a Deluxe room as we were there a week and this offered a sitting area which is nice to have if yo...

Quaint hotel

by Carolyn427 on 12 Oct 2016 (Couple Traveller)

Very nice quiet hotel in a small town of Verona. Hotel is older and is small. Rooms were nice and clean. They had nice patio in front and back of hotel to sit outside. Indoor pool looked nice. Bar area small. Dinner was very good and service was good. Dining room good size. We were with a tour group. Large breakfast assortment of food. Nice staff. Would stay there again.

Long weekend in Verona

by Hannah578 on 27 Sep 2016 (Couple Traveller)

My partner and I stayed from Thursday - Monday. We emailed the hotel a few days before and they arranged our transfer for us which was very handy. The hotel itself is lovely - the rooms are beautiful - it's very big - the pool is a nice size (not overly large but nice enough for a morning/evening dip!) Sauna and steam room are also lovely although there not always turned on but there is a phone in the pool room where you can ring reception. The hotel staff - particularly the two men - are rea...

Lovely Hotel, with Well Kept Gardens

by TexasLibraryLady on 09 Sep 2016 (Couple Traveller)

We stayed two nights at this location during our recent Tour of Italy. The room was a nice size, comfortable bed, well appointed bathroom. I just can't get used to the European shower doors, or lack thereof. Some of the furniture looked to be either antique, or very good reproductions. The beamed ceiling and partially exposed brick added to the rustic feel of the room. Breakfast was probably the best of the tour! Several homemade pastries were available both mornings. You can view pictures of th...

Good but I like an open air pool ...

by villavicencio60 on 31 Aug 2016 (Friends Traveller)

The hotel has a free of charge shuttle bus connecting to airport, which is handy as it's quite remote. If you are driving it has a good an secure parking area. Rooms are decent, some of them only have a shower. Booking from UK proven to be more expensive than booking from other parts of the world and my friends who booked from South America paid less per night than I did and got a bigger room ... The real shame was the pool. If you are hoping to lay by the pool in sunny August don't be foole...
