We had booked a valley view premier room by looking at the pictures on internet. When we reached there the room had no view whatsoever. The room had a restaurant view. The cottages are constructed too close to each other. So much so that if you talk a little loudly in your room the people below you and to your both sides will be able to hear your clearly. This experience applied to everything inside the resort. The pool is small, the convention centre is a small room. The staff responsible for showing us to our room, were trying to justify the situation showing us a small part of the valley which was visible to the right side of the balcony saying that is the view. They even tried showing us another much smaller room with a view of a plantation which was all barren, saying it was a forest view room. All this was after we drove 8km away from the coorg city centre and then 2km offroad into a small lane. The approach road was so bad, our car could barely make it there. It took us good 25mins to drive on it and once inside you would definitely not feel like going out on the road again. When asked about the condition of the road, the staff again had some half cooked excuses about it. Overall, the resort charges you *** per night but doesn't put much effort in justifying the cost. We did not checkin and just left and found an Airbnb.

Stay was good value for money,friendly and helpful staff..very clean and neat...only one more street lights should be installed on way from road to inside hotel.As hotel is bit inside the 2 km from main road .

Positives - front of house, dining room and house keeping staff are great. Helpful and kind and ready to assist. The setting is beautiful and the sound of birds in the morning and evening is delightful. Negatives - we were told this is a leased property that is not owned by Sterling. The maintenance is not great and the resort is woefully understaffed. The 2km access road to the resort is dangerous. It is unmade, rocky, very muddy after the regular rains and it is single track so oncoming traffic drives straight at you and there is nowhere to go to get out of the way. Food in the dining area is hit and miss. Sometimes good, sometimes stone cold. There are some old rooms which were part of the previous hotel (201, 202 and some others) which are very dated and frankly need full renovation. These are charged at the full rate and the same price as the new poolside villas. Laundry bags are provided but disappointingly no laundry service is offered. Our room had no fridge even though it was advertised as so. There was very intermittent and very poor WiFi. Data network services are extremely limited and most are unavailable.
