The Countryside Resorts

The hotel room had multiple issues. 1) The ventilator duct in the washroom was not working so was overheating upon usuage. 2) The smart TV in the room was not able to connect to wifi and when asked to the staff I was informed that the MAC address issue. The staff tried to fix the issue upon multiple requests which didn't last long. 3) The hotel room no. 312 was not properly cleaned had a bunch of hair near the sofa area. 4) The fan in the room was making a noise which disturbed my sleep. 5) The fan regulator cover was broken hence in first usage it came out and looked dangerous to me. 6) The bathroom door hinges are so bad that they make a loud noise when tried to close or open. 7) The hotel kitchen didn't had all the food mentioned in th menu list so whatever I asked was not available. 8) In the room there was no clue on the numbers to reach the reception or room service. 9) After I spoke to the hotel manager - didn't see any rectification rather he was thankful that I have found the issues and have talked to him. There was no empathy or compensation he offered. 10) The wash basin in the bathroom has water logging and no proper draining 11) On prior to my checkin date I had tried to reach the hotel reception via whatsapp and did mention to them that my checkin is on my daughter's birthday and would need a small cake to celebrate with my family. But no one heard me or reciprocated rather my stay was disappointing with the level of service and the room offered to me. I would urge for a full refund if there is any humanity left with the hotel senior management team.

It was the worst of all the experience i have ever had in my life.The hotel has provided with the least possible benefit.I have booked the hotel for my parents. And even the basic amenities were not available in the hotel.The rooms was a complete mess, no hot water in the bathroom, no services on time, You can call the staff 2-3 times and you will notice that there is no response from them.Unnecessarily costly. The type of services they have provided and the room type etc is making the hotel worth only 500-700 per day cost, but they have charged over 6000 per day.

I stayed at this hotel from 6th May to 8th May.The Hotel is newly built.The rooms are quite spacious with all modern amenities. The food quality is good. The breakfast spread and Dinner buffet spread is good and also quite economical.All the staff working their are very polite and know their duties properly..Will be definitely looking forward to stay in this hotel whenever I visit kashmir.

Poor Service and Isolation at "The Countryside"’I and my wife stayed here as part of a group tour organized by a tour operator 3rd to 5th May 2026. While the hotel has some physical potential, the management and service levels were highly disappointing.’The Location’ : The hotel is aptly named "The Countryside," but not in a positive way. It is located significantly outside the main city of Srinagar. If you are looking to explore the city, visit the local markets, or enjoy the central sights, be prepared for a long commute. Its isolation makes it very inconvenient for independent travelers.Food and Service : ’The most frustrating part of our three-day stay was the dining experience. For the first two days, the food was of very poor quality. It was only after our group staged a strong protest that the kitchen staff finally improved the meals on our final day.’Service: The staff seemed uncoordinated and indifferent to the needs of the occupants. We felt that our comfort was a low priority for the management.’The Rooms:’To be fair, the rooms themselves were quite spacious and comfortable. However, a large room does not compensate for poor food and the feeling of being stranded far from the city.’Summary: Unless you are part of a tour group that has no other choice, I would recommend looking for accommodation closer to the city center where service and food quality are more consistent. For a hotel targeting tourists, the hospitality shown here was well below par.

This is located near the railway station near highway. We got really good deals on the rooms and booked this hotel. The rooms were quite good. The staff were polite and helpful.The breakfast was complimentary in our booking and it was good. The service at the restaurant breakfast was also good.Overall a great place to stay.
