Zambala Retreat & Spa, Darjeeling

Hotel rooms and dining area are dark and not welcoming at all. This hotel should be inspected and closed by tourism department. It's a health risk. Staff is unprofessional and lacks customer service skills. Location near train station makes it impossible to sleep. No parking space for unloading luggage, which is risky for drivers. It ruined our vacation in Darjeeling. Our tour organizer sikkimtourism.org booked this hotel, but don't trust them. They are a scam, and there are better private tour organizers.

Worst hotel ever been to. Not a 3-star at all. I won't give even one star. Very dirty and unhygienic. Rooms never cleaned. Furniture broken in our room. No ventilation in restaurant, smell of food everywhere. Don't go to this hotel.

They have different room types. We got a small room where two sides of the bed were against the wall, not much space to move. Poor ventilation and no fans in any room. The bathroom was tiny too. Then we switched to a bigger room but the bedsheet was dirty and smelled bad. Lots of noise from the road since it was facing the street, and the body wash wasn't refilled. Towels were dirty, you could see dirt on them. When we asked for clean towels, they refused at first, but after arguing, they gave us more towels that were also dirty. It's a bad place to stay, even though it's near the train station.

Amazing experience at anant hotel. Deluxe bedroom clean and view from rooms so good. Staff really friendly and serve you well. Ms. Malika very helpful and cooperative, helped us during our stay.
