Indian Railways Luggage Rules You Must Know

Just like airways, Indian Railways also has a luggage carrying policy, which must be followed by each passenger. For each class of travel, there is a free allowance capacity along with the maximum quantity that is permitted. However, passengers can book and carry excess baggage beyond the free allowance limits by paying extra charges to the Indian Railways. Extra luggage is chargeable at 1.5 times the applicable luggage rate.
