Small and Friendly
by HappyTravelersVR on 18 Jan 2017 (Couple Traveller)
The main thing to say is that there is a lot of noise from the street and the bar on the ground floor but you are warned about this many times before you arrive (on the web site, trip adviser, confirmation email, at reception etc etc) so this should not come as a surprise to you! We didn't find it a problem anyway as we were out late, ear plugs were provided and we then got a good nights sleep. The room was small but arranged well with a very small en suite shower room. It had a simple white sty...
good location but awfully loud

We stayed at Kelly´s before Christmas because we wanted a central accommodation in the heart of Dublin. The rooms are basic, but clean with a comfy bed. Kelly's is great if you are looking for short distances to bars, pubs and restaurants. Not so great if you also like to sleep at night. We had read the reviews about the noise but never would have thought that it would be THIS BAD. As we live downtown in a big city in Germany, we are no stranger to the city noise and are used to the street soun...
Great hotel in the center of the action!
by Hobin46 on 30 Dec 2016
On a visit home to Dublin (I live in NY), I decided to tourist it up for a night on the town with friends and stay in a city center hotel. My friend and I booked the 2-bedroom penthouse suite at Kelly's. Well honestly for a night on the town we made the perfect choice of hotel! Slap bang in the center of the action, with a side entrance directly into the "Bar with no name" pub next door. Bar with No Name is a great spot to start the night. I loved opening the windows in the morning to the so...

I stay in Dublin fairly regularly and always choose to stay at Kelly's Hotel (or their neighboring Grafton Guesthouse). It has a great location very close to all the Dublin bars (which means at times it can be noisy outside). But this hotel is super cool and well decorated. The rooms are fantastic and the breakfast is wonderful! Generally Dublin is an expensive city to stay in, so comparable to other hotels I would say it is good value. I would recommend this to anyone!
Couldn't have been better

Two of us went for a long weekend. I Wasn't too sure on ideal locations in Dublin, but it was clear we made a good choice here. The staff were without fault and couldn't have been more helpful or friendly. Our room was basic but looked great and had everything we needed (The incredibly comfy bed, a definite highlight). Reading a few reviews prior to the trip, I can understand why people could have had some issues with noise, but it was never an issue for us. If you are going for a quiet, early n...
