Worst hotel room I have ever seen - no Electricity, Filthy carpet, hideous lumpy bed.

by liliananatukundak on 23 Jan 2017

Absolutely worst Hotel room I have ever been to. The carpet was filthy, stained and just dirty looking. The bed lumpy and looked like you could get bed bugs in it. Just unappealing altogether. I lost money because I could not sleep in those conditions. I booked to stay there because the photographs of the room looked clean, neat and good enough. When I got there the manager looked at me, went to the back office and called the receptionist and told her to put me in this filthy room (407). When ...

Good for short city break...

by Lee R on 08 Jan 2017 (Solo Traveller)

Ideal for a short city break ... hotel is in ideal location ... staff helpful ... rooms outdated but fine if you need bed & cleanliness ... ... a couple of negatives... emailed (as well as Facebook message) regarding airport pick up as was wary of taxis... none of messages were replied to ... on arrival I was asked for 15,000H (£50) for 'security' ... I asked why and I disagreed as I wasn't forewarned by anyone. It may have been Hotel policy ... but I didn't have the spare cash. They changed the...

Overbooked; lost an hour though checked earlier on the status of the booking

by iachka on 29 Dec 2016 (Family Traveller)

Staff told us that the hotel was overbooked for the Xmas period and had to send us to another hotel (that turned out to be City Hotel Unio, which is a nice hotel itsefl based on my previous stay at the latter), even though i checked via email before arrival that everything was ok with the booking; to sum up, we had to lose an hour before our transfer was arranged to City Hotel Unio; obviously, won't be booking it again :)

Hotel in a lively area of the city

by 1605C on 27 Dec 2016 (Solo Traveller)

This hotel is absolutely fine if you want a clean hotel with a comfortable bed. I am used to staying in slightly more upmarket hotels but this hotel seemed to be in a good location at a very good price. I arrived at around 10:30pm on a Saturday evening when the neighbouring bars were in full swing. Check in was quick and I was directed to my room. The lift is very small and is typical of a building of this age. The room was clean, bright and had a balcony (not much of a view) facing the courty...

Good hotel for a (short) city trip

by Irisabella89 on 02 Dec 2016 (Couple Traveller)

We stayed on the 5th floor. There is also free Wi-Fi in the hotel, the WiFi worked even on the 5th floor! There is an elevator, but it only goes to the 4th floor. The room was somewhat dated. It is very noisy in the rooms (thin walls). But everything was clean and for us this was fine! The hotel's location is good, about a 10 / 15min walk to the center. We had a good stay at this hotel.
