A lovely resort...Very clean... Excellent food...Every traditional dish the landlady served had a unique flavor...No food item got repeated in our long stay there..Calm and quiet place..Must visit if one needs peace and joy...Even the kids in our group liked it very much...

We were here for a weekend. Our plan was for the Tadiandamol Trek which is very close to this homestay. The homestay: The homestay is great with the best location around the area and the view is phenomenal. The property is well maintained and clean rooms. Huge parking space for TT or Cars. Rooms are decent and food is good too. We chose hi tea, dinner and breakfast. Deepthi (homestay owner) was very helpful in accomodating our requests and also arranged for a jeep for our trek which was payable...

Kings cottage provides you a decent stay with a real good scenic mornings. It is located amidst calm and greenish location. It is suitable for staying with friends or family group. It has 24/7 water heaters. Well maintained washrooms and toilets.You get not so good but pretty decent service. Food is good. You may need to tell in advance if you need some special recipes. In total, it worth for what they charge !

Six of us stayed here and our primary requirement is for a decent place which is closer to Tadiandamol trek starting point. It fitted our requirement perfectly. Kings cottage is a great budget homestay which is well maintained, very clean, has good approachable roads, has big rooms, close to trek start point, provides great food. I stayed with family of 4, visited on 23.September.2017, 1) it was a comfortable stay, 2) we loved the location and environment 3) if you have your own vehicle, I absolutely recommend to stay at this place, 4) food is good, 5) you can get lot of privacy. 6) it is located around 35KM to Madikeri. 7) Near by you can find "Chelevera" waterfalls, go and visit IF the distance is not a matter, if you have your own vehicle, and you wanted to live in nature for some time THEN simply go....
