Slightly disappointing

by sidoman on 17 Jan 2017 (Business Traveller)

The hotel has a lovely smell as you enter; a very generic hotel smell, of cleanliness. The actual hotel is in fact very clean, and the receptionist is welcoming. The room, however has a few shortcomings. Providing coffee making facilities is nice, but not providing a spoon is a silly thing to forget to do. Also, a lack of hairdryer is disappointing. Breakfast is continental only, which for a 3* hotel is also a shame.

Awful

by Binglebopper on 17 Dec 2016 (Business Traveller)

Stayed here for two nights. Double bed was two singles pushed together. Double glazing does not stop the constant traffic noise. First night woken by bin men at around 5.30am. Second night awake all night by the constant sound of running water from a toilet above. At 4am when I couldn't stand the water torture no longer I got the receptionist to my room to complain. He agreed he could hear water running and left.At 6am the water stopped. So 6 hours of water torture and no sleep whatsoever I went t...

Worst customer service i've experienced

by graham10194 on 12 Dec 2016 (Couple Traveller)

The hotel is in a decent enough location for the tube but that's about all it's good for. Don't bother trying to sort out anything that is wrong with your room as the receptionist who says he is in charge is the most arrogant person on the planet and will not admit that the hotel has anything wrong with it. If you get chance, check out the "honeymoon suite" room 303 - this was offered to us but looks like a room that you would keep a hostage in rather than spend a romantic night in. The room we ...

Excellent Service at Kingsland Hotel

by joannembull on 02 Dec 2016 (Business Traveller)

We stayed here on Tuesday evening for a business meeting Wednesday morning. The staff, especially Guaruv (apologies if I have spelled his name incorrectly) was very professional and courteous throughout and very helpful. He arranged a taxi for us in the morning which came promptly. The room was very clean and the heating had been turned on as it was a particularly cold night when we arrived. The continental breakfast was good and if we need a hotel in the same area again we will definitely re...

Nice hotel, big enough for a family of 5

by ZohaibOxford on 28 Nov 2016 (Family Traveller)

I stayed at this hotel for a night with my family of five (3 adults/2 children), and I found it nice and big enough for us all in the family room. The location is very good, as its close to the underground station and has many places to eat within 3-4 mins walk (like nandos, peri peri, and asian diners). Bathroom was a bit small in size, but with a double bed, and two single beds, it's negligible. Staff was very nice, the hotel is clean and has limited rooms, so it's not crowded which is a plu...
