Good quality hotel for budget travellers

by Sureeporn Y on 17 Dec 2016 (Business Traveller)

Recently I had a chance to stay at La Parranda Hotel in Phom Penh on my business trip for 6 nights. Situated just across the road from the Intercontinental, I found the hotel very convenient for both business and travelling. The staff are all friendly and very willing to help. The room is large enough for two people to stay together with private zones. facilities are adequately provided: amenities, drinks, satellite TV and, surely, free wi-fi. Breakfasts are generous and delicious, especially fo...

Great hotel if you want to be in the vicinity of the Intercontinental

by Christopher D on 30 Nov 2016 (Solo Traveller)

La Parranda presents great value for money. I stayed there for 11 nights and it was very comfortable. The staff were always very helpful and accomodating. Provided all the guidance requested promptly. The breakfast included in my room price was very good specially the fruit. If you like your eggs in a particular way the make them specially for you at no extra cost. All in all I would stay there again if I went to Phnom Penh

Quiet Choice

It is at a location where most Tuk Tuk drivers will know so they can't con you for more than USD 3 for a ride. Just tell them its opposite InterContinental Hotel which is an old landmark of Phnom Penh. The rooms are decent and clean but do not expect anything more than that. Showers are hot but the water pressure is weak. The air con can be temperamental and can take a day off if they don't recharge the compressed gas tank. If that happens though, you can request a room change for free. Basic ...

Mixed Feelings, Both Good and Bad

by Shahab A on 24 Jun 2014 (Business Traveller)

Not really bad...! The welcome at the hotel was so good and we found the staff friendly and they were always available for service at any time whenever you required. the price was so good and valuable ( just USD 45/night including tax and one way Airport transfer) room was so quiet and clean but there was no wall plug ! I charged my phone in bathroom!!!!!! and the worst part of hotel was breakfast buffet! you have no choice to select food! I found cockroach in butter plate! the fitness center...

Stay there if you have a meeting in the Intercontinental

by Hoamai26 on 31 May 2014 (Business Traveller)

I stayed in this hotel for 4 nights when I was in Phnom Penh on business. I really do not want to complain, because with 45USD (including tax), they offered everything I needed, and the room was big and clean. I know in some other developing countries, the same standard hotel would cost around 100USD or more. Having said that, it was not a very pleasant stay. First, the wall seemed to be thin, and I was woken up by my neighbor starting to watch TV at 3am. Also, the AC and fridge were quite lou...
