For Japan
After more than two years of closed borders, the country is all set to open its doors to foreign travellers.
According to news reports, tourists will be able to explore Japan without a visa from 11th October. Also, the cap on the number of daily arrivals will be lifted.
Passengers arriving in Japan no longer need to carry a negative COVID-19 test report, if they can show proof of complete vaccination (three doses) at the entry points of the country.
For unvaccinated or partially vaccinated travellers, a pre-departure test, an on-arrival test and three days of home isolation are compulsory.
Note: Isolation will be terminated for a traveller when their on-arrival test will come negative on the third day. Quarantine for a total of five days is mandatory if they do not opt for the test.
