Centrally placed in Central Square Cambridge

by Jeremiah R on 17 Jan 2017 (Business Traveller)

Typical corporate hotel. All the elements are fine; nothing extraordinary. Clean. Nice shampoo and body wash. The bed was more comfortable than average; moderately firm. Did not use the wifi or the cable, so no comment. No swimming pool. Very convenient to MIT and Central Square. Staff were very polite and helpful. Hotels are so expensive in the Boston/Cambridge area that it is hard for me to whip up enthusiasm for a hotel which is just okay. My rating system: 5* = fantastic/wow; 4* = good; 3* =...

Convenient location

by Mo C on 15 Jan 2017 (Business Traveller)

I recently stayed at the Le Meridien for work and was happy with my stay. The location couldn't be better as it was within walking distance of my meetings. The room was clean and bathroom had everything I needed. I actually really liked the shampoo and conditioner that was provided. (Peppermint shampoo and Cilantro conditioner? Pretty cool!) The bed was very firm, but I slept well and have no complaints. We ate dinner one night in the lobby bar, and the burger was actually pretty good. The r...

Amazing Property

by LoverOfFoodDC on 11 Jan 2017 (Couple Traveller)

We arrived after a long day of traveling in snowy conditions, to a wonderful young lady at the front desk, I do not recall her name but it was Sunday 1/8/17 around 5 pm. She checked us in right of the bat, she did not even mention she was an angel and gave us an upgrade. The young man behind the bar was excellent, he made the most perfect Cosmopolitan I have ever had, the Deviled Eggs were fantastic, so was the flatbread pizza they served, their hummus not sure if it is made in house, it reminde...

Great Stay

by martha5447 on 09 Jan 2017 (Couple Traveller)

Well, this was a wonderful find for Cambridge. If you pay ahead, you can get a great rate. There's a huge supermarket on the 2nd floor. We got caught in a snow storm. Getting snacks at the market and watching movies made the weekend fun. The room was spacious and comfortable. Staff is super friendly and helpful. We will definitely return. Wonderful restaurants in the area and a museum. We parked the car in a city garage a few blocks away on Green Street. With the snow storm, we never took out.

Overpriced Hotel in the Heart of MIT

by CanadianPrincess on 30 Dec 2016 (Family Traveller)

Unfortunately, there are not many reasonably priced hotels if you're planning a visit to Cambridge MA. The rationale for charging high nightly rates to stay in Le Meridien is it's proximity to MIT. It is a host hotel for conferences and visiting academics. The rooms are quite basic in decor and comfort and you may wish to call housekeeping for extra towels. If you want breakfast I suggest walking the short distance to a family operated restaurant. The hotel does offer complimentary coffee i...
