Something very different......

by Gunilla K on 07 Jan 2017

Not a very nice area, yet another beautiful old building falling apart in BA, you might think, until you open the door and are faced with a steep marble staircase opening onto a glass-domed entrance hall - 120 years old and magnificent as are the rest of the reception areas and landings. However. There are many dark and gloomy rooms without windows, several confusing staircases, two completely unrelated lifts, and the advertised rooftop pool and jacuzzi were without water, abandoned and dismal. Ask for a room with windows - and for Claudio

by ergopublic on 05 Jan 2017 (Couple Traveller)

It's not a very attactive barrio, and it's not a very attractive hotel - at first sight. But when you enter the hotel: woah. As if you'd become part of a movie, playing in Belle Epoque and featuring Tango. One important notice: Ask for a room with windows and space - there are some terrible rooms in this hotel. Beautiful historic home

by mustgotherenext on 21 Nov 2016 (Solo Traveller)

What a beautiful old building, with great history and architectural interest. San Telmo is a barrio of great character, and the Dandi is well located. They treated me like royalty - a fabulous host was so kind and helpful.

Quaint Boutque Hotel

On a quiet street in the San Telmo (old neighborhood). Wonderful woodwork, professional staff with some English speakers. Within walking distance to many local restaurants and bars. Wonderful historic property and reasonable prices.

3 relaxing nights in BA

by beaglelover56 on 22 Oct 2016 (Family Traveller)

This property is a historic building, originally built as a private residence and visually stunning. Surprises abound with soothing sitting places throughout this hotel. The staff were welcoming, gracious and very informative. Breakfasts were very good. Loved the tango lesson! There are numerous excellent restaurants within a 5 - 10 minute walk. If I ever get back to BA I would absolutely stay at this property again.
