Dishonest management, left me stranded at night with no one to talk to!
by Charlotte G on 24 Dec 2016 (Solo Traveller)
I booked this hotel 3 months before my check-in date on booking.com. I arrived around 8:30 pm to find the hotel door locked, a note saying to check at the hotel next door. They had left me a key at yet another hotel, the lowest ranked in Leuven with no explanation. I managed to talk to booking.com who contacted the hotel management but they insisted they have nothing left and never honoured my reservation. Mille Colonnes is the worst hotel experience I've ever had.
Excellent breakfast, but also convenient and clean
by Nick T on 12 Dec 2016 (Solo Traveller)
I booked this hotel at the last minute (embarrassingly, I'd made a mistake about a booking at another venue in Leuven). It was recommended to me by someone attending the same academic conference in Leuven. Despite my late booking I got a "single" room for €49. In fact it had two single beds, and was very roomy for one person. The room was very clean and looked out onto the Martelarenplein (square in front of the railway station). by Ahmed H on 25 Sep 2016 (Business Traveller)
To start with, hotel is in a very good spot right in front of leuven train station and still not far from the center, i stayed at 1st floor and had only one bag so it was ok for me that no lift at the hotel, people are nice and helpful, room space is average bathroom was ok and changing towels everyday and big drinking water bottle filled everyday also, tv cable was average and room view on station not very noisy so it was ok in general, breakfast is fair enough with reasonable varieties not man...
Not ao good experience
by sven-debuysscher on 16 Sep 2016 (Business Traveller)
We had a late check in, all coordinated, with the manager, so the key would be waiting next door. We arrived. 0h15 and there was no key with the neighbours, finally a 2 am, we were able to get in to our rooms, after ringing the bell for more than 1 hour. The neighbours told us that it is very commun for this to happen. Rooms are ok, kinda a small. Space between beds is 10 cm.
A Better Option than staying at an airport hotel
by Robby G C on 05 Aug 2016 (Couple Traveller)
We were aware that our hotel was also a restaurant and was in a square near the train station. However, once out of the train station, we were confused. So we cross over the street and looked for the Hotel Mille Colonnes. We found it easily and we entered with our luggage into the restaurant to get our keys. To bring our suitcases to the third floor was quite an adventure, especially when the stairs were not as large compared to Canadian standards. It was fun though and we made it! Our beds w...
