Railways Introduces New Trains to Ayodhya!

With a few days left for the upcoming grand consecration ceremony of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya, the North Western Railway (NWR) plans to launch three to four special train services, connecting various cities in Rajasthan with the sacred town of Ayodhya.

Some of the tentative routes include – Ajmer to Ayodhya via Bandikui and Agra, Jodhpur to Ayodhya via Jaipur, Alwar and Rewari, Udaipur to Ayodhya via Jaipur, Dausa and Alwar.


Another train will start from Haryana’s Hisar to Ayodhya and will also connect a few cities of Rajasthan to the temple town.

Besides this, one regular bi-weekly Express train has been proposed between Puri and Darshan Nagar (near Ayodhya), and another proposed bi-weekly Visakhapatnam-Gorakhpur Express will pass through Bhubaneswar, Angul, and Jharsuguda.

Puri-Darshan Nagar Express will run on Tuesdays and Fridays and it will have 21 stoppages. The Visakhapatnam-Gorakhpur Express having 30 stoppages will operate on Sundays and Wednesdays.
