The railways will soon roll out coaches with state of the art smart features. These smart coaches are a product of the ‘Make in India’ campaign. In the future, 100 such coaches will be rolled out.
These features will include:1) Modern Coach Factory, Raebareli has come up with a smart Coach No.18155 LACCN. This coach is equipped with ultra-modern sensors and centralized computer for monitoring the status of all sensors.
2) Each coach will be fitted with 6 security cameras, providing live footage.
3) A Water Level Indicator (WLI) will send an SMS to the next watering station as soon as the water levels drop below half.
4) Automated GPS based announcements will inform passengers about the speed of train, next station name, distance remaining, expected time of arrival, delay and safety messages.
5) Wi-Fi based entertainment services like: Movies, Songs, Videos and Video Games.
