Middle of nowhere

My husband and I stayed here at the end of a cruise, we were booked into the Ambasciatori hotel, but when we arrived we were told that there was a problem and they would transfer us to the Russott, their sister hotel which was only 5 minutes away -it wasn't, it's really an airport hotel with only a park and industrial buildings nearby. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful, the room was a reasonable size but no hospitality tray and a strange (damp) odour and because of the location there is ...

We were sent here after delfino hotel overbooked due to cruise party!! Room was not ready and in fact they did not have our booking had to wait for an hour for this to be sorted. No information provided by hotel. Location is on a motorway with no shops, cafes or restaurants near by. Public transport difficult to get to. Breakfast was poor. Room was twin instead of double. No tea, coffee facilities in room and do noisy! On last night/morning we were awoken twice by reception as they kept thinking...
2 stars being generous
by mjames19 on 06 Nov 2016 (Friends Traveller)
this is possibly the most out dated hotel I've ever stayed at. It needs a huge amount of money thrown into it to re decorate all the bedrooms and corridors, very old fashioned. The bathroom was tacky and the shower curtain smelt horrendous, made the whole bathroom smell of bio. Creeky bed and no kettle etc! Would not recommended. Eat in the restaurant once and it was a disaster. No table numbers we saw members of staff carrying round people's food for 5 minutes looking for who's it was which obv...
Free parking, friendly staff with a 5min bus ride from Venice
by James E on 01 Nov 2016 (Couple Traveller)
This place is probably the most convenient hotel just outside of Venice Island. Its traditional and the staff were very helpful. Having spent ages looking for accommodation within Venice and trying to offset extortionate prices against distance from attractions we eventually gave up and decided to stay at Hotel russet because it was cost effective and not too far from Venice island. We would be arriving by car so it made sense to choose somewhere with parking included. It was easy to find off ...
Quaint vintage hotel in an excellent location
by Debbie R on 24 Sep 2016 (Couple Traveller)
After reading previous reviews we felt we must have been in a different hotel but we were not. We stayed here for our wedding anniversary, we decided at the last moment to go and the prices to stay in main Venice were horrendous, so due to the location we opted for this hotel and both my husband and I were glad we did. Upon arriving at the hotel we were greeted very warmly by the receptionists, our room was not ready and they offered for us to either wait or leave our suitcases so we could go ...
