Best hotel in the area I've stayed at

by Steve H on 20 Jan 2017 (Business Traveller)

Business has brought me to the Tysons Corner area a few times. This is my first visit to this hotel. First, it has more of a "California" layout than what I've seen in other properties in the area. By this I mean that instead of having a bunch of rooms connected by a common, internal hallway, the whole property is more like an apartment complex--multiple stand alone buildings and each room has its own external entrance. The buildings are two stories tall and there are no elevators (or at least...

Adquate older hotel

by Lynb61 on 18 Jan 2017 (Family Traveller)

This residence inn is a bit older than some of the ones that I stayed in but the price was right and the room was decent. It comes with a full size oven, microwave, refrigerator with ice maker and small dishwasher. There is also a fireplace, but I never used it. The bathroom light/fan is noisy but that's my only complaint. The breakfast was decent, but there isn't a lot of room when you stay here during a busy time of the year-(like holiday's) Long story short - It's adquate for the price.

I have a large family and Residence Inn is our go to hotel, so I spent A LOT of nights in A LOT of Residence Inns...probably 15-20 nights annually. I will give the hotel credit that the staff was friendly and helpful. One of the reasons we stayed at this location was the old "apartment" style with 2 floors in our room and plenty of space, including a full size fridge. The only complaint about the hotel layout was the fact that it only has an outdoor pool, what kind of family oriented hotel ...

Decent hotel showing its age

by Michael B on 29 Dec 2016 (Solo Traveller)

Stayed 3 days in a one bedroom in a loft room with 2 bathrooms. The hotel and grounds are clean and the staff is helpful. The furniture is old and tired and the room needs a desperate update. My room had nothing wrong with it and the loft bedroom was nice. But cracks, squeaks, and loose fixtures show its age. Also, the layout and furniture of my room was odd. I had a random second bed and a conference table in the lower living area. The table I get, but second bed just in the corner of the roo...

The property is comprised of multiple small buildings, each with about 6 suites. You enter each from an exterior door, like a motel. I didn't like the look or the layout, but the room was just fine. Typical of these suites hotels, it's nice to have the living area in addition to the bedroom.
