Absolutely dreadful.

This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. After checking in we bypassed the second floor rooms which looked half decent and were guided via a dirty narrow staircase to level 3. The bed was as hard as lying on the floor, the sheets and towels although clean were thin and grey but worse was to come in the bathroom. It was vile. With no window or extractor fan it was covered in mould. The shower head needed to be hand held in order to get wet. No aircon or fans. We booked for 3 nights but walk...

Porto Nightmare! Moled walls and terrible conditions

by rafsur on 16 May 2016 (Couple Traveller)

Beware of this hotel! We booked for 2 nights but managed to stay only overnight. The first thing we did was leaving the place in the very morning. Room was freaking cold, no heating and 150% of humidity. The mold was everywhere I was scared of having some lung deseese after the night. We booked room with private bathroom but it was so hideous we used it only with very urgent need. Mold was half covered with paint as someone got a phone call and never finished the job. Room was very cold over...

loved it, staff super friendly and helpful, location ideal and central, really good being so close to tram stop and san bento stations. the hotel had great character and was very clean, very comfortable bed! amazing value for money, it's really good for the price but of course not 5 star so a few rough edges but i was still suprised how much value for money we got... we did only use it for a shower and a kip, porto is to beautiful to stay indoors!

The location is near bus terminal, walk 3 minutes, easy to find & about 10 minutes waling to Sao Bento Railway station. The room is clean with simple furniture, without air conditioner, so it will be little bit colder in winter time. The staffs are warm & friendly, & they can provide very useful information to guests, One can find restaurants around hotel, & 10 minutes walking to super market. Although room is simple, yet the price is good for budget travelers who would like to stay a place not ...

Currently on my last night of hell, well that's all I can call it, if you enjoy damp cold rooms with no heating, night receptionist singing to herself or snoring pretty loud, shouting at 6am/7am once they change over this is the place for you, having to wear a jumper, socks t shirt and jeans just to try to keep warm to no avail, the only reason we haven't got another hotel is because we have been travelling over Europe for the last few months and cant afford it with our budget, please do yoursel...
