Fantastic value for Dublin city centre hotel

by holidayseeker on 27 Jan 2017 (Couple Traveller)

I'm giving this hotel 5 stars based on the budget price we paid for the location. It was a Wed in mid January so may be more expensive at others times. The bus from the airport (no 747) actually stops at the door of the hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful and hotel was clean and well furnished. The room was much better than we expected , spacious , lovely crisp bed linen, immaculate bathroom ( shower over bath) flat screen Tv . Tea and coffee facilities in room and a safe and iron....

We stayed at the hotel myself my wife and my son we were on the second floor and the only heating in the whole room and bathroom was a electric wall heater in the bedroom so leaving the bathroom cold. The bathroom had broken floor tiles and was in need of a refurb. On the whole OK value for money and the breakfast(not included in our deal) was good

Could have been so much better

by HKRDave on 23 Jan 2017 (Couple Traveller)

We had 3 nights here for New year and found the place a little on the tired side. We had one of those "meet in the middle" beds that you occasionally come across, and this doesn't make for a good restful sleep. The bathroom door would stick on the tiled floor, it had clearly dropped and been like this for some time, so a little maintenance would have son fixed the problem. Talbot Street isn't the cleanest place in Dublin, but its only a 5 min walk to O'Connell Street and the tram stops 2 mins a...

Decent Hotel For Cheap Price

by markaricard on 21 Jan 2017 (Friends Traveller)

It's a decent hotel given the cheap price - The WiFi was so terrible that not only did we have to ask to be moved rooms on a new floor, but other guests had to sit in the chairs in the hallway on their laptops just to be able to connect to the internet. There was also an extremely potent smell of smoke throughout the entire hotel (including in the elevator) despite this being a no-smoking hotel. Initially the room we were given was on the 1st floor - the decor was extremely outdated and in...
