- •Valid passport (minimum 3 months validity beyond planned return date; at least 2 blank pages)
- •2 recent passport-size photographs (35×45 mm, white background, matte finish)
- •Completed and signed Schengen visa application form
- •Confirmed return / onward flight bookings
- •Hotel reservations or invitation letter from host (with host's Schengen residency proof)
- •Travel insurance covering all Schengen countries (minimum €30,000 medical + repatriation coverage)
- •Bank statements for last 3–6 months (showing sufficient funds; approx. €50–100 per day of stay)
- •Last 3 months' salary slips OR Income Tax Returns for last 2 years (self-employed / business owners)
- •Employment letter on company letterhead confirming position, salary, approved leave dates
- •Leave sanction letter from employer
- •Cover letter describing purpose of visit, detailed itinerary, and intent to return
- •Copy of previous visas / travel history (if any)
- •Copy of old / expired passports (if any)
- •Proof of purpose (e.g., tourist booking, cultural event invitation)

Indian nationals holding an ordinary passport no longer need an Airport Transit Visa (ATV) when passing through the international zone of French airports, effective 10 April 2026. Applies only to passengers remaining airside during a layover en route to a third country. Note: this exemption is France-specific — other Schengen countries may still require an ATV.
