Day 1:

Spend your 1st day in Ooty by exploring and admiring the most picturesque and popular places that Ooty has to offer.

Here is the itinerary for Day One:

Start your 1st day a little early by travelling to the Doddabetta Peak which is approximately 9 km away from ooty. The panoramic view from the top is breathtaking and the highlight of the place is to see the sunrise which will surely steal the show.

Once you see the sunrise, your next location should be the famous Ooty Lake which is approximately 10 km from the peak. Surrounded by striking eucalyptus trees, the lake is a great place to spend a lazy afternoon with loved ones. You can either opt for boat rides or just stroll around the mesmerising Ooty Lake.

Next, make your way to the Government Botanical Garden. The lustrous garden is home to rare and exotic plants and flowers which will surely make your 1st day in Ooty complete.

End the eventful day with some South Indian Food and retire early for the 2nd day in Ooty.

 

Day 2:

Spend your 2nd day in Ooty by taking a train ride, exploring waterfalls, dams and a vintage church.

Begin your day with a joyful journey with Nilgiri Mountain Railway in Ooty. Reach the place before 8 AM to get a seat. The highlight of this ride is that it passes through 16 tunnels and tall bridges. The train travels across scenic hills, tea & coffee plantations, colorful houses and is a fun way to start your 2nd day. To book tickets in advance, download the ixigo train app.

After the joyous ride, head to the Pykara Lake which is around 19 km away from Ooty. This attractive place has the famous Pykara Falls, valleys, dams and mountains. The breathtakingly beautiful place will surely make you fall in love with Ooty.

Come back to Ooty and if you still have time, head to the St. Stephen’s Church. This old church has a grand look with tall trees and mountains surrounding it. The church gives a vintage feel to its visitors and is a must visit.

After you visit the church, have a lovely dinner near the church. Or if you have time you can even go for shopping but do rest because your final day in Ooty is awaiting!

 

Day 3:

Spend your 3rd day in Ooty by spotting some wild animals, clicking some pictures with famous personalities and just shop shop shop!

Here is the itinerary for Day Three:

Start you 3rd day in Ooty by travelling to the Mudumalai National Park. A great way to start the day for all animal lovers as one can spot wild elephants, tigers, bisons, peacocks and so on. The national park is approximately 60 km from Ooty but is worth the visit.

After a fun filled day at the National Park, come back to Ooty and visit the Wax World Museum. An interesting place to visit after a tiring day at the park. The museum has wax statues of some famous personalities like Mahatma Gandhi, Mother Teresa and so on.
