Earlier this morning, the Mumbai to Bhubaneswar Lokmanya Tilak Express was derailed after it hit the guard van of a goods train. 20 people were injured in this accident.
According to sources, the derailment took place between Salagaon and Nergundi station around 7:00 in the morning. Dense fog may have been the reason for the accident.
Two helpline numbers have been launched by the East Coast Railways 0764-1072 and 0674-1072.
As per the sources, the injured passengers were taken to a nearby hospital, and are out of danger.
Railway officials confirmed that the remaining passengers were evacuated from the site. Fortunately, no loss of life has been reported so far.
