It is that time of the year when all the bookworms and literature lovers head to Jaipur to experience the charm of storytelling, meet their favourite authors, decode poetry and immerse in the cultural celebration at the Jaipur Literature Festival.

Founded in 2006, Jaipur Lit Fest brings together a mix of diverse writers, poets, journalists, politicians and more. It started as a platform for all things books. However, the festival now includes cultural performances as well as serves as a place for debates and dialogue.

This year marks the 13th edition of the festival and is bringing 300 speakers and nearly 200 sessions.

Highlights of the Jaipur Literature Festival 2020 
Elizabeth Gilbert, the author of bestselling book Eat Pray Love will talk about her recent work, the novel City of Girls.

The festival is hosting a Poetry Durbar with some of the finest poets of all time. The names include Arvind Krishna Mehrotra, Jeet Thayil, Anamika, Annie Zaidi, Easterine Kire and Stephen Sexton.

Uninhabitable Earth: The festival has a session on Climate Change, one of the most critical topics of our time with experts from different parts of the world. Speakers include Delhi-based researcher Navroz Dubash among others.

Interestingly, the festival has organised a blogging contest and a writing competition for enthusiasts. Moreover, there is an interesting lineup of music and dance performances as well.
