While you’re doing everything right, like practising social distancing and washing hands, you may still find yourself in a situation where you think you’ve been exposed to COVID-19 virus.
So to prevent community transmission, you are required to be home quarantined. Here’s how to do it:
> Allocate yourself a separate room with proper ventilation.
> Maintain distance from family members
> Use a separate washroom, if using the same, ensure to clean the taps, doorknobs with soap and water.
> Minimise visitors to the house
> Frequently wash your hands with soap and water or use hand sanitizer
> Avoid touching eyes, nose and mouth with unwashed hands
> Face masks and gloves used by a quarantined person should be properly discarded without reuse
> Use separate utensils, towels, bedding, etc.
> Monitor body temperature using a thermometer twice a day.
> Do not handle pets or other animals
Note: Discuss any additional questions with your state or local health department or health care provider.
